About Me

I am a lighting, projection, and scenic designer, animator, playwright, and photographer based in Brooklyn.

I am also a devout art nerd, so my research will often contain both scientific and artistic references. Dramaturgy and understanding the story I’m helping to tell dictate every choice I make. My goal in designing a show is to ultimately marry the script with the concepts I bring in as an artist. Eventually, the text, art, and science become inseparable.

I started my journey as a STEM student who took a required humanities class and fell in love with storytelling. In the years since I began designing, I have worked in Theatre, Dance, and Opera. I am particularly passionate about imagining new and radical designs that transport the audience to new worlds.

I hold a B.S. in Theatre from Middle Tennessee State University and an M.F.A. in Live Design and Production from the University of Texas at Austin.

I have the double whammy of dyslexia and dysgraphia so if you see a typo… no you didn’t.
